Much better algae control now and actually quite clean now with help of two wave makers.

Well, added UV and wait and see how is the condition tomorrow. Water changed 30 litres.

Moved...

The small tankmate of Jardini found dead this evening so no choice, need to move Jardini to the new tank immediately. From the smell of the water I guessed it is cycled. Water are so fresh and the fishes in there kinda healthy looking too.

Got a hole saw to drill holes to accommodate the cannister filter piping.

Here is the latest status. All looks healthy at this moment. Black water were added to release some stress after moving.

So far so good...

Well... gonna get a hole cutter to cut holes for the filter inlet and outlet pipes later and then transfer my Jardini over.

Filter up and start cycling tank

Here we go! Drained out all water and refilled with new water and added aquarium salt. Got the cannister filter and added in my son's pee to kick start the tank cycling process. I also added in few Talapia fish too.

Now it is ready...

Alright... done the whole tank and stand cleaning... tested with full tank of water filled and no leakage... just done adding aquarium salt to disinfect the tank over the night... Tomorrow going to drain out all water, refill water, buy a OHF and setup it up to start cycling the tank... gonna use my son's pee to speed up the cycling within 48 hours!

Ps: droped in the drift wood for disinfection too!

Bad news....

Oscar died....

Ich and fin rot found on Oscar...

Just now found Oscar having fin rot and ich... after googled it cure, quickly I did 50% water change, introduced aquarium salt and also medication for fin rot. Hopefully with daily 20-30% water change this illness can be prevented.  Now I understand how small tank is harder to maintain if no good filter around like sump or ohf...

Just got myself a new 14 gal tank for my new Jardini... am going to setup a fiber glass tank with OHF system outside my new house to house this Jardini when it grow up, together with Kelesa... Yes I am planning to bring him to Bintulu soon!
